The Cattle Barons’ Ball is like no other American Cancer
Society event. It is the premier vehicle for engaging
Brevard County’s influential social and corporate
networks into the fight against cancer.
The Cattle Barons' Ball is an elite evening filled with
cowboy boots, burlap & bling. This western theme night
is comprised of fine food, impressive entertainment, and
exciting live & silent auctions.
The Cattle Barons’ Ball is known in the community as a
“fun night for a worthy cause”!
For 100 years the American Cancer Society has been
dedicated to caring for patients, improving treatments
and fighting for a cure to end cancer. The Cattle Barons’
Ball is a night to celebrate the progress made as well as
increase awareness and support to help reach the goal of
The Cattle Barons’ Ball focuses on bringing Brevard’s most
prominent residents and businessmen together to join
forces in the battle against cancer. Because together we
can finish the fight and save millions of lives!
Where does the Cattle Barons' Ball money go?
In 2013 the Cattle Barons’ Ball exceeded its $100,000 goal to help the
fight against cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.
Proceeds help local and national efforts in the following ways:
24 hour information, guidance and education
Local resource room with free wigs, bras, turbans, etc.
Road To Recovery– free transportation to and from treatment
Hope Lodges– free lodging & emotional support for patients and families located strategically near treatment facilities/hospitals
Research and training grants (support given to 47 noble prize recipients)
